For your information
How we prepare information for a sponsored page.
At gardeningdata.co.uk, our aim is to present all information in a format that is easy for visitors to the web site to access and use; probably the most important aspects are the download time and ability to print each page. We therefore spend some effort in designing each web page to meet these aspects.
If a hardcopy data sheet is supplied, we extract the text of the data sheet into a computer file by scanning or retyping as appropriate. Any illustrations and the masthead etc. are scanned and extracted into separate graphic files.
Once we have the initial computer files (either from our preparation above or as supplied); we review the text and graphics. The graphics may be reformatted, trimmed or edited in some other way to achieve efficient graphics for the web. Likewise, the text may be edited or rearranged so that it is efficient for loading onto the web and attractive to search engines.
Once we have all the final computer files, we make up the web page containing the information, the masthead and the link to the sponsor's www site.
The page is then checked to ensure that it is of the required quality, accurately reflect the source material and are optimised for search engine submission.
When we're happy with everything, we add the new page to the gardeningdata.co.uk and let you know so that you can view it and comment - at this stage the page will not have been indexed within the gardeningdata website.
When we've had your comment, and made any changes requested, we index the page under the appropriate classification; and publish the new pages onto the site.
Finally the page is submitted to a number of search engines for them to index.
The information, masthead, www link etc. are then available from gardeningdata.co.uk over the www !
