Propagation by Offsets

Plants such as bromeliads, sempevivum, androsace and many cacti and succulents, form miniature plants as side shoots from the main stem.

If you carefully tease them from the parent plant, preserving any roots that are attached, they can be easily rooted into 3 inch (7.5cm) pots of compost.
